- High-intensity sodium lamp which is relatively cheap allows less initial purchasing expense and maintenance expense as it requires less number of lamps to earn same intensity of illumination compared to power consumed due to 1.3 times the total velocity of light for metal-hallide, despite all the demerits.
- Unlike metal lamp, it has less characteristics change caused by surrounding temperature, and the restart time(1min) is shorter compared to metal-hallide lamp(8min).
- Low UV ray with high permeation rate, suitable for regions near beach, wetland, riverside where fog appear frequently.
